The 'Barrier-Free Park and Life Center', which was put into service in 2012 as part of the 'Alanya for Everyone' project, has an administrative office, game activity room, library and computer room, lounge, kitchen, male and female disabled toilets, an information desk and a bar on the ground floor. There is a relaxation terrace, and on the first floor there is a psychologist's room, a physiotherapist's room, a meeting room and disabled toilets for men and women. In addition to the arrangement of all architectural elements used (ramp, warning and tracking surfaces for the visually impaired, elevators for the disabled, toilets, etc.) in accordance with all disability groups, the functional elements used in the interior equipment (computer for the visually impaired, printer for the visually impaired, game group for the disabled, chess set for the visually impaired) ) is designed to suit all disability groups.

In addition, the hardware developed at the METU - KOSGEB Technology Center to enable disabled people who cannot use computers or have difficulties in using them due to their physical disabilities was put into service for the first time in Turkey by Alanya Municipality in a public area at the Barrier-Free Park and Life Center.

With its large terrace area and garden, which are spatially connected to the library, game activity room and lounge, it will offer its guests the opportunity to play, workshop, do sports and relax outdoors in Alanya, where the weather conditions are suitable throughout most of the year. An environment where children can have a pleasant time has been created in the garden with the disabled play group and the disabled swing. In this environment where they come with their families, children can play safely in the play activity room and playground, while their families are offered the opportunity to relax on the large terrace and garden.

This center is a place where all disability groups can easily meet during the day and spend their free time, it can host conferences held by all official institutions or non-governmental organizations on the subject, and it is a place where disabled people can improve themselves by revealing their knowledge and skills through workshops and revealing their awareness of their abilities. serves as. In addition, with the services to be provided at the Accessible Park and Life Center, which provides services with psychologists, physiotherapists, child development experts, sign language translators, project specialists and counseling staff, it is offered to the public as a place where disabled people and their families can find solutions to their special problems and receive consultancy services. .

• The psychologist working at the Accessible Park and Life Center provides psychological counseling services to disabled individuals and their families, and organizes training and seminars to increase disability awareness in line with the demands.

• Child Development Specialists working at the Barrier-Free Park and Life Center carry out activities in the modern education hall to help disabled children acquire daily life, self-care, cognitive, psychomotor, language development and social life skills through play.

• Physiotherapist working at the Accessible Park and Life Center; It evaluates the musculoskeletal system, muscle strength, length, flexibility, and level of independence in daily living activities of physically disabled individuals, gives them therapeutic home exercises appropriate to their condition, and ensures regular follow-up.

• The Handicrafts teacher working at the Barrier-Free Park and Life Center carries out various artistic activities for disabled individuals and their relatives, with the aim of helping them spend their daily lives with social activities. Based on the skills of disabled individuals and their relatives in any artistic activity they are prone to, it carries out activities that can create creative thinking skills, skills that improve hand-eye coordination, and a sense of achievement.

• By the Project Coordinator working at the Accessible Park and Life Center; The coordination of ongoing projects such as "Alanya for Everyone", "Barrier-Free Tourism City Alanya", "Every Stroke is a Life", "Sail for Life", "Volunteer and Make a Difference" is being carried out. The Project Coordinator, who creates new projects in line with the vision of Barrier-Free Alanya with the analyzes of the "Disabled Database", also ensures the coordination between municipal units in all physical and social projects, contacts similar institutions, searches for joint project opportunities that increase social awareness about disability, and civil society organizations. It provides civil society-state dialogue by acting as a bridge between social organizations and the municipality.


Alanya Municipality Barrier-Free Parking and Life Center carries out studies on the following issues;

• To ensure cooperation and coordination between institutions and organizations related to disability prevention, education, employment, rehabilitation, social adaptation and other issues.

• To follow the developments in institutions and organizations operating for the disabled, to ensure coordination and cooperation between them, to investigate their problems and solutions, to prepare proposals on this issue and to have them prepared.

• To conduct investigations and research on issues related to disabled people, to collect statistical information, to prepare projects on this subject, to examine, evaluate and implement them.

• Cooperating with voluntary organizations and local governments, preparing joint projects and supporting the submitted projects.

• To help conduct necessary examinations and research with relevant institutions and organizations regarding the identification of disabled people in need of assistance and their enjoyment of social and legal rights.

• To make the district's work on disability effective and efficient by bringing together all parties in the field of disability.

• To ensure the creation of a database covering all disabled people living within the borders of Alanya district, to ensure that statistical information about disabled people from national institutions and organizations is collected and evaluated in the IT environment.

• Making home visits to disabled individuals who cannot come to the Accessible Park and Life Center so that they can access the service.

• To evaluate requests for cash, food, medical supplies or similar assistance from disabled people living within the district borders, within the limits of possibility, and to carry out the necessary work.

• To organize projects, panels, symposiums, conferences, seminars and similar events in the fields of Employment, Physical Environmental Regulations, Health, Sports, Rehabilitation, disability awareness and education.

• To research, evaluate and produce solutions to ensure that disabled people benefit from public social, cultural, sports facilities and areas and public transportation vehicles.
